Content warning: far-right organising, discrimination, racism, Islamophobia, violence, white supremacy.

Hi everyone,

The Clare Project have been made aware of the potential of far-right groups activity taking place in central Brighton & Crawley this week. Many of you may have already seen escalating violence perpetrated by white supremecist groups, which has continued to target black and racially minoritized groups, people of Islamic faith, migrants and refugees, alongside community/affiliated buildings. Although we are aware these groups, racism and Islamaphobia is of a constant presence, the risk to our affected communities has escalated.

There is a known risk of far-right group attendance to a law firm on Queens Road, Brighton (BN1 3XF) and Black Rock Immigration in Cambridge Gardens, Hastings on Wednesday 7th August evening (7/8pm approx). Further to this, on Friday 9th August (5pm approx) planned far-right group attendance to a Holiday Inn hotel in Three Bridges (RH10 1UA).

We would strongly suggest you avoid the areas affected during this time.

The Clare Project has no planned groups in these areas during these times, however if you are affected by this and require additional support or resources to attend our drop-ins or support activities please get in touch. Examples of support could include support such as contributions towards taxi costs on a short-term basis, free bus tickets, or additional information on safe route planning.

Email info@clareproject.org.uk with subject line [ACCESS REQUEST] – please allow 2-3 working days for a response.

Please be assured we are continuing to work with local community organisations and statutory services to ensure communities feel both reassured and resourced during this challenging time. Below is a list of reporting methods and supporting organisations.
