Meet & Eat

The Meet & Eat is a monthly meal out for community members, opportunity to chat and socialise with other trans, non-binary, intersex, gender variant and questioning folk. Venue changes monthly.

First Tuesday of the month at 7-9pm

The Clare Project Meet & Eat is a monthly opportunity for trans, non-binary, intersex, gender-variant and gender-questioning people to go out to a chose pub or restaurant and have a meal together. We visit a variety of pubs and restaurants with varied cuisines but if you have a suggestion of where we could go, please get in touch!

All of the places we visit have gluten-free and vegan options and are reasonably priced (approx. £10 for a main meal). They are all wheelchair accessible and in central Brighton close to transport links and have a gender-neutral toilet (sometimes this is the disabled toilet). You are welcome to bring a PA, friend or family member with you.

You do not need to inform us before coming along, but if you are feeling nervous, please do feel free to get in touch with us and we can arrange for you to meet with a facilitator beforehand who will answer your questions and who you can sit with at the meal. Please note, as these are pubs and restaurants in central Brighton, we cannot guarantee that the venue will not be a little noisy and we cannot control the light levels.
