Online social

Zoom social for trans, non-binary, intersex, gender-variant and questioning people to connect with each other, chat and receive support. Perfect for those who work 9-5, those who live out of area, or those who have access needs that prevent them from coming in person.

Second and fourth Monday of the month: 6-7:30pm
Online

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have started running some of our core services online as well. This gives people who cannot attend our drop-in, because of geographical distance, financial issues, disability, or anxiety, the chance to meet and socialise with our community and access support online. They also run in the evening, giving people who work 9-5 the opportunity to join us more easily.

The online socials run twice a month and are spaces where trans, non-binary, intersex, gender-variant and gender-questioning people can come along to connect with each other, chat and find out more about local support services. You do not need to inform us before coming along, but if you are feeling nervous, please do feel free to get in touch with us and we can arrange for you to meet with a facilitator beforehand who answer your questions. You can also have a look at our group agreement to find out a little more about how we try and keep the space as safe as possible for everyone attending.

The online zoom meeting is informal. You click on the link (sent out in our weekly bulletin) and enter a virtual waiting room. You will be let in at 6pm. The facilitators will ask everyone how they are, and if there are new members, give people a chance to introduce themselves with their name and pronouns. We chat about all sorts of trans-related and non-trans related things and usually have a good laugh. You can interact with your webcam on or off, using your voice or using the chat function. There is also the option to have a private breakout room with a facilitator if you have any private questions or feel upset at any point during the group.

Our facilitators are all trans, non-binary or gender variant individuals who are there to help keep the space safe, to answer any questions you might have and to talk to you about our services or direct you to other local support options. If you are feeling nervous, please let one of us know via the direct message option and we will make sure to include you and help you to engage.
